Pixo (hereinafter referred to as "we", "application", "app", or "the app") takes your privacy seriously and is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, processed, used, and protected when you use Pixo. Please read this policy carefully before using the app.

Information We Collect

User-Uploaded Images

Pixo uses Fal.ai, a third-party AI service, to process user-uploaded images and generate vintage-style effects and photo-to-video results. Uploaded images are processed temporarily only to generate and deliver the requested result. Images may include faces. However, Pixo does not collect, extract, analyze, or store facial or biometric data. We do not perform facial recognition or attempt to identify individuals.

Image Processing

User-provided images are securely transmitted to Fal.ai solely to perform the generation request explicitly initiated by the user. Images are processed temporarily and are not used for advertising, profiling, identity verification, facial recognition, AI model training, or any unrelated purpose.

Face Data Handling

Pixo may process user-uploaded images that contain human faces. This section explains how images containing faces are handled:

Collection of Face Data

Pixo does not specifically collect, detect, extract, or identify face data as a separate category of information. However, images voluntarily uploaded by users may contain faces as part of the image content.

Use of Face Data

Images that may contain faces are processed solely to provide the AI features requested by the user, including vintage style photo and photo-to-video generation.

Processing is performed through Fal.ai. Pixo does not perform facial recognition, face tracking, biometric analysis, identity verification, or profiling based on facial features.

Sharing of Face Data

To provide AI-powered editing and generation features, uploaded images are securely transmitted to Fal.ai.

Images are shared only for generating the result requested by the user and are not shared with other third parties for advertising, profiling, facial recognition, or unrelated purposes.

Storage and Retention

Pixo does not store uploaded images on its own servers.

Images, including those that may contain faces, are processed temporarily and are not retained after processing is complete.

Generated images, generated videos, and history items may be stored locally on the user's device so users can access previous results.

User Consent

Images are processed only after the user selects an image and requests an AI feature.

Before the first use of AI-powered features, users are presented with an AI Processing & Privacy Disclosure. Processing begins only after the user selects "Agree & Continue."

If the user declines, no images or prompts are transmitted to the AI service.

Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect images during transmission and processing.

However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Third-Party Processing

Pixo uses Fal.ai to process uploaded images and prompts required to generate AI-powered results.

Fal.ai receives only the information necessary to generate the requested output. Pixo does not send images for facial recognition, biometric identification, advertising, profiling, or identity verification.

No biometric identifiers or facial recognition profiles are created by Pixo.

Data Retention

Pixo does not retain uploaded images or prompts on its own servers after processing is complete.

Temporary processing may occur only for the time necessary to generate and deliver the requested result.

The following information may be stored locally on the user's device:

• Generated images

• Generated videos

• Generation history

• App preferences

• Saved settings

Users may remove locally stored information through the app, where available, or by uninstalling Pixo.

Analytics and Diagnostic Information

Pixo may use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect limited technical and diagnostic information, including:

• Device type

• Operating system version

• App version

• Feature usage

• Performance information

• Crash reports

• Diagnostic logs

This information is used only to improve app functionality, stability, and performance.

Analytics and diagnostic information is never used for facial recognition or biometric profiling.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Pixo may offer optional subscriptions or in-app purchases.

Payments are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Pixo does not collect or store payment card information.

Apple may provide limited transaction information, such as purchase confirmation and subscription status, to enable premium features.

Third-Party Access

Pixo uses the following third-party services:

• Fal.ai

• Google Analytics for Firebase

• Firebase Crashlytics

• Apple In-App Purchase

These services process only the information necessary to provide their respective functionality.

Information may also be disclosed:

• When required by applicable law or legal process

• To protect our rights or the safety of users

• To investigate fraud, misuse, or security incidents

• To trusted service providers acting on our behalf under appropriate confidentiality obligations

Pixo does not sell or rent user information.

Device Permissions

Photo Library

Photo Library access is used only when the user selects images for AI processing or saves generated results.

Camera

Camera access is used only when the user chooses to capture a photo for processing.

Permissions can be managed at any time through the device's Settings.

Opt-Out Rights

Users may stop all information processing by discontinuing use of the app and uninstalling it.

Users may also decline AI processing from the AI Processing & Privacy Disclosure. If declined, AI-powered features that require Fal.ai processing will not be available.

Children's Privacy

Pixo is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. If such information is identified, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information may contact us using the email below.

Security of Data

We implement reasonable physical, administrative, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information processed through Pixo.

Despite these safeguards, no method of transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should avoid uploading confidential or sensitive images.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in app functionality, third-party services, legal requirements, or privacy practices.

Any updates will be published on this page with an updated effective date.

Continued use of Pixo after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

By using Pixo and selecting "Agree & Continue" before using AI-powered features, you consent to the processing of uploaded images and related prompts as described in this Privacy Policy.
